Python 101 is a general introduction to programming, using Python as the foundation. It's designed with beginning programmers in mind; if you've never done any programming before, Python 101 is a great place to start. If you have already taken VBScript 101 or Java 101, then Python 101 will expand your skills into the domain of high-level programming.

This course begins with the basics, starting with a solid foundation in Python's interactive interpreter. Programming concepts and terminology will be gradually introduced as we move into writing standalone scripts and modules. We'll explore many of Python's built-in data types before learning how to create our own classes and objects, and how to customize their behavior with methods, inheritance, and operator overloading.
